Community

We’re proud to be home to such a wide variety of businesses, and individuals, each playing an essential role in our Archway Studios community.

Fred Sorrell

Artist

Fred Sorrell’s practice is an inquiry into the intersection between reality and imagination. Sorrell engages with ideas around mindfulness and perception, exploring themes of stillness, meditation and somatic experience. Focussing on how visual sense reverberates in the body, he uses abstraction to convey the feeling of colour in nature. While they are not representations of visual phenomena, this is the raw material from which the painting can be constructed and a new image can emerge.
