History

The Old Station Elgin is a beautifully preserved Victorian train station in the heart of Moray, Scotland. It now serves as a business centre, providing offices steeped in character.

The building is richly adorned with 19th century features: stained glass windows, ornate wooden finishings, and even preserved advertisements line the walls of the iconic ticket hall.

Vintage black-and-white photo of a steam train arriving or departing a train station with a covered platform, passengers waiting, and a rural landscape in the background.

Originally built in 1899, Elgin Station served as an essential part of the Great North of Scotland Railway. It once welcomed passengers heading north to Lossiemouth, east towards Buckie and Cullen and south towards Craigellachie and Speyside.

Today one platform remains at the rear of the building, still sheltered by it’s grand glass canopy.
